LeRoy Hahn, age 87, of Brookville, PA, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at his home. He was born on August 27, 1936, to the late John and Anna (Reidel) Hahn. After high school, LeRoy enlisted in the United States Marine Corp from 1954 to 1957, where he proudly served his country. He was in a landing craft during the Israeli-Egyptian Sinai conflict waiting for orders to intervene, which never came. One of his marine buddies is how LeRoy was introduced to young Marcella (Wingard) Hahn.
On October 27, 1958, he married his true love, Marcella (Wingard) Hahn. LeRoy deeply loved his wife and the life they built together raising their children. Despite life being initially fraught with struggle and uncertainty, there was no doubt how much he loved Marcy. She preceded him in death.
He worked for Ferro Corporation’s Foundry Products Division plant in Hamburg, NY, as a press operator until his retirement after thirty years from the industry. He also volunteered for the Orchard Park Volunteer Fire Department for over thirty years. LeRoy was always a dreamer who enjoyed life and making lasting memories.
LeRoy is survived by four children; Andrew Hahn of VA, Troy Hahn of OK, Jo Hahn of MD, and Clay Hahn of AZ; two grandchildren; Samantha Hahn and Stephen Hahn; and two sisters; Peggy and Beverly.
In addition to his wife and parents, LeRoy was preceded in death by two brothers; Walter and Raymond; and one sister Lorraine.
All services will be held privately and have been entrusted to Carrier Funeral Home, 2834 Maplevale Rd., Brookville, PA 15825. Please visit our website at www.carrierfh.com to find more information or to place online condolences.
