Calvin “Cal” Gray, age 85, of Brookville, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at the Penn Highlands Jefferson Manor in Brookville, PA. Cal was born in Creekside, PA, on September 3, 1939, to the late William and Helen (Price) Gray.

Cal was married to his true love, Judy (Kennemuth) Gray, she preceded him in death.

Throughout his lifetime, Cal consistently demonstrated a lifelong dedication to hard work, an unrelenting enthusiasm for his work, and a genuine desire to help others. He was passionate about hunting and spending time in the great outdoors. Cal made many memories with his family and friends while hunting all around the world, however his favorite place for hunting was right at home. Seeing Cal shirtless around town was just another normal day at work. After retiring, he really enjoyed the time with his “Crony Club” at breakfast, where they solved all the world’s problems. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Cal is survived by three children; Randy Gray, Kim (Barney) Lindermuth, Carla Gray; four grandchildren; April (Sean) Weidow, Lisa (Jimmy) Kessler, Heather McCarthy, Michael (Hannah) Lindermuth; five great-grandchildren; Carter Kessler, Ava Kessler, Charlee McCarthy, Callan McCarthy, and a baby girl Lindermuth (due January 2026); three brothers; Tom Gray, Ken Gray, Gary Gray; three sisters; Jackie McConnell, Gladys Gray, Cindy Bernard; and his special friend, Kay Bish.

In addition to his parents and wife Judy, Cal was preceded in death by one grandson; Zachary; two brothers; Dave Gray; Ron Gray; and three sisters; Jessie Petrosky, Barbara Taddy, and Mildred Hart.

A graveside committal service will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, beginning at 11:00 am, at the Roseville Bethel Cemetery, Roseville, Jefferson Co., PA. Following the committal, all are invited to a time of sharing and remembrance beginning at 1:00 pm, at Roseville Grange, 85 Roseville Rd., Brookville, PA 15825.
