Emma “Grace” G. (Bennett) Snyder, age 93, of Brookville, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at the Penn Highlands Jefferson Manor in Brookville, PA. Grace was born in Punxsutawney, PA, on May 7, 1932, to the late James R. and Ella Grace (McQuown) Bennett.

After graduating from Punxsutawney High School with the class of 1950, Grace moved to Cameron Park, CA for many years before returning to PA.

Grace married beloved Darrell “Doc” E. Snyder on March 28, 1960, in Indiana, PA. He preceded her in death. Their union of over fifty-five years was built on love and a life of dedication to each other.

From 1964 to 2002, Doc and Grace owned and operated the Reynoldsville Rollerdrome in Reynoldsville, PA before retiring. The couple was an integral part of the lives of multiple generations of children. The numerous skating lessons, friendships, trust, and care provided had a lasting impact on the community of Reynoldsville and beyond.

Grace was a member of the First Church of God in Brookville, PA and a member of the SRSTA -Society of Roller-Skating Teachers of America Association, where she taught a winning state champion; Cathy Bish of Reynoldsville, PA.

Throughout her life, teaching roller skating had been a central focus for Grace. She also enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and solving crossword puzzles as well as jigsaw puzzles during the winter months. After her husband’s passing, her grandson Michael became her travel companion. They traveled to France for her birthday and subsequently returned four to five more times over the years. In addition to her travels, Grace also visited Spain, the Strait of Gibraltar, and Mont Saint-Michel.

Grace was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to her loved ones. She brought joy to her family and friends. Her wisdom and kindness will be forever remembered as a lasting legacy in the hearts of those whose lives she touched. Grace was so loved and will be deeply missed.

Grace is survived by her daughter; Barbara S. (Michael H.) Yoder of Reynoldsville, PA; three  grandchildren; Michael J. Yoder of Pittsburgh, PA, Christan R. Shaffer of Brookville, PA, Matthew A. Yoder of Reynoldsville, PA; eleven great-grandchildren; Finn Shaffer, Evelyn Shaffer, Michael R. Yoder, Margaux Yoder, Gwenyth Yoder, Iyla Yoder, Alysia Yoder, Velimir Visilev, Vikki Irvin, Kaida Yoder, Rory Yoder; two brothers; Henry Bennett of Rossiter, PA, Joseph Bennett of Philipsburg, PA, one sister-in-law; Dorothy Bennett of Ringgold, PA, one brother-in-law; Richard Jarbeck of Punxsutawney, PA; four nieces; Brenda (Billy) Bott of St. Lucia, FL, Alice Jort of Ringgold, PA, Nancy Poy of DuBois, PA, Janet (Butch) Loy; and one nephew; Eric Bennett of Sigel, PA.

In addition to her parents and husband Doc, Grace was preceded in death by infant grandson, Stephen Darrell Yoder; two sisters-in-law; Jane Bennett, Elsie Bennett; two brothers; James (Diane) Bennett; David Bennett; two sisters; Beatrice Jarbeck and Shirley Bennett.

At the wishes of Grace and her family, there will be a memorial service held at the Brookville Church of God, 201 Freedom Lane, Brookville, PA 15825, on Friday, January 2, 2026, beginning at 6:00 pm and officiated by Pastor Sam Wilson.

Interment will take place privately. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carrier Funeral Home, 2834 Maplevale, Rd., Brookville, PA 15825.
