Janice A. (Leadbetter) Clinger, age 90, of Corsica, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 20, 2026, at the Penn Highlands Jefferson Manor in Brookville, PA. Janice was born at home in Waterson, PA, on December 27, 1935, to the late Charles Howard and Lavinia (Percy) Leadbetter.

Janice attended Clarion Limestone High School in Strattanville, PA. She proudly received her GED in 1981.

Over the years, Janice worked at various businesses, including the Brookville Post Office, Sylvania, the Gold Eagle Inn, Leadbetter Fitness Center all in Brookville, PA, and also the 76 Truckstop in Strattanville, PA.

Janice married Ralph V. Rhoades on May 31, 1952, in Fisher, PA, he preceded her in death. She was blessed to find love again and married Joseph Clinger on January 6, 1962, in Shippenville, PA; he preceded her in death.

Janice was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Strattanville, PA, the Roseville Grange, and previously served as Mayor in Corsica, PA for a number of years, as well as a member of the Women of the Moose Club in Clarion, PA.

Janice embraced her life with love, grace, and kindness, grounded in her Christian faith. These values served as a constant source of direction for her throughout her life.

Janice was deeply committed to her family, embracing her roles as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. The unconditional love and guidance she shared with her loved ones will forever remain in their hearts. Janice will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Janice is survived by five children; Rodney Rhoades of AZ, Tonya Swartzlander of Clarion, PA, Tammy (Jeff) Martz of Brookville, PA, Toni (Mike) Mohney of Treasure Lake, DuBois, PA, Jodi (Cliff) Shaffer of Sigel, PA; fourteen grandchildren; Christy (Mike) Marconi, Andrew (Rhonda) Rhoades, Marcie Rhoades, Amanda (Matt) Ghiell, Tara (Jonathan) Franks, Kari (Shawn) Morris, Rebecca (Pace) McQuown, Joshua (Meredith) Martz, Matt Mohney, Brett (Erica) Mohney, Jon (Dana) Mohney, Jessica (Nathan) Jeffcoat, Joe (Lauren) Richards, Jamie Medley; and twenty six great-grandchildren; Parker, Alyssa, Tyler, Nathan, Reese, Jada, Cara, Isla, Jackson, Elijah, Leo, Amelia, Anthony, Josie, Tucker, Tanner, Tyler, Maggie, Kaia, Riley, Buck, Alesia, Kenneth, Bailey, Kylie, and Hannah; one sister; Peggy Summerville; one brother; Theodore “Ted” (Kimmie) Leadbetter, two sisters-in-law; Mitzi Leadbetter, and Sandy Leadbetter; as well as a special friend, Joe Gauger, with whom they enjoyed each other’s company during car rides along the Clarion River.

In addition to her parents, and both husbands, Janice is preceded in death by; three sisters; Jeanne Bash, Delores Thrush, Donna Hilliard, four brothers; David Leadbetter, James Leadbetter, Michael Leadbetter, William “Bill” Leadbetter; two sons-in-law; James Simpson, and Charles Swartzlander and one great-grandson; Ezra Richards.

In accordance with Janice and her family's wishes, all services will be held privately.

Interment will also be held privately. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carrier Funeral Home, 2834 Maplevale, Rd., Brookville, PA 15825.
