Joyce Marie (Groves) Mineweaser, age 76, of Brookville, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 31, 2025, at home. Joyce was born in Clarion, PA, on November 15, 1948, to the late Skip and Peg (Fike) Groves.

Joyce graduated from Clarion-Limestone High School in Strattanville, PA.

Joyce married the love of her life, William “Bill” A. Mineweaser Sr., on September 28, 1968, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Brookville, PA; he survives. For over fifty-six years, they were blessed with a lifelong bond of love and devotion to one another.

Bill and Joyce owned and operated Bill’s Bar in Brookville, PA, for many years, and she was grateful for the friendships made with both past and present employees.

Joyce’s hobbies included watching true crime and game shows, crocheting, reading, especially her bible, leisurely swings on the porch, going for morning coffee, and her loyal dogs. She additionally enjoyed chatting and spending time with her friends and family.

As a wife, mother, grandmother and godmother, Joyce had an unwavering devotion to her family and was incredibly proud of their achievements. Joyce left a lasting legacy of love to be cherished in her memory.

In addition to her husband Bill, Joyce is survived by one son; William “Bill” A. (Shellie A.) Mineweaser Jr of Brookville, PA; two grandchildren; Kyle D. Grover, Cheyenne J. Mineweaser, both of Brookville, PA; four godchildren; Kelly (Jones) Ross, Dawn Potts, Kassandra Rager, Seth Decker; one great-grandchild; Tobias Grover; six grand godchildren; Jenae, Ashlyn, Brielle, Ryon, Zoie, and Mckenna; two brothers; Darl Groves and Marvin Hall; and her Shih Tzu dog, Charlie.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents and her Aunt Betty Shaffer.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, from 11 am to 2 pm at the Carrier Funeral Home, 2834 Maplevale, Rd., Brookville, PA 15825. A modified prayer service will take place following the viewing, also at the Carrier Funeral Home, beginning at 2:00 pm and officiated by Father William Laska.

Interment will take place privately at the St. Mary’s Cemetery, Rose Twp., Jefferson Co., PA.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carrier Funeral Home, 2834 Maplevale, Rd., Brookville, PA 15825.
