Mary Jean (Stewart) Heilbrun, 89, of Hazen, passed away peacefully at home on July 23, 2022. She was born on November 4, 1932, to the late Doyle Albert Stewart and Ethel Annie (Bedell) Stewart at home in Warsaw Township, Jefferson County, PA. On October 14, 1954, she married James “Jim” Heilbrun in Hazen, PA. They spent sixty-four loving years together before he preceded her in death in 2018. Mary was a member of the Richardsville United Methodist Church. She was also very active with the Richardsville Ladies Aid Society, where she spent time with other ladies quilting and enjoying food. Mary enjoyed doing crossword puzzles as well as puzzle books. She loved to quilt, cook food, and bake goods for family and friends. Mary enjoyed traveling in her younger days with her loving husband.

Mary is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by one son; Dale Heilbrun, and three siblings; John Stewart, Verda Shaffer, and Helen (Bilquist) Zygai.

Funeral services will be held privately by the family. A private burial will take place at the Riggs Cemetery, Warsaw Twp., Jefferson County, PA.
