Mary Ann (McKinney) Naletko, age 76, of Sigel, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Penn Highlands Brookville Hospital in Brookville, PA. Mary was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on November 29, 1947, to the late Walter and Ruby (Gregg) McKinney.

Mary graduated in 1965 from East Forest High School in Marienville, PA. She continued her education in Nursing School in Titusville, PA.

Mary worked for years at the Jefferson Manor in Brookville, PA, and the Pinecrest Stable and Campground in Cook Forest. Later, she worked at the Clarion-Forest County VNA as a visiting nurse until her retirement in 2010. 

Mary took pleasure in reading poetry, shopping, playing the guitar, listening to any music, especially Indian flute music, and visiting Clear Creek State Park in Sigel, PA. She had a tender spot for animals and had three Chihuahuas she adored. Mary consistently contributed to the St. Jude Foundation and adopted a sea turtle to advance conservation efforts.

Family was extremely important to her. She cherished family gatherings such as picnics and parties. Her family meant the world to her and she loved all of them.

Mary is survived by one son; Wally (RaeLee) Naletko of Sigel, PA; two grandchildren; Damon Hedgecock, and Alex (Phill) Naletko both of Sigel, PA; two great-grandchildren; Weylynn Marie Simpson and Liam A. Naletko; and three cousins; Sharon, Dan, and Kathy Ellis.         

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by an infant sister; Sylvia McKinney; and one brother; Walter L. McKinney.

Per the family wishes, a celebration of life will be announced and held at a later date. Interment will take place privately by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carrier Funeral Home, 2834 Maplevale, Rd., Brookville, PA 15825.
