Richard Paul Klavon, Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026, in Brookville, Pennsylvania. He was 87 years old.


Born on October 17, 1938, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Richard spent his early years in the city where he was born. Throughout his life, he demonstrated a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found joy in nature’s beauty. Those who knew him remember him as a good man and a devoted father who left an indelible mark on the lives of those around him. Richard was also known as an excellent teacher, sharing his knowledge and wisdom with others.


Richard is survived by his loving wife, Bernadette Klavon; his children: Donna Niebauer, Rick Klavon and wife, Denise Klavon, and Annette Wade; and his cherished grandchildren: Ricky Klavon, Kylie Klavon, and Mandy Miller. He also leaves behind three great-grandchildren: Brayden Carrington, Ella Miller, and Violet Usher. His legacy lives on through the love and memories shared by his family.


He was predeceased by his former wife, Patricia Lemchak Klavon.
