Robert “Bob” E. Robbins, age 82, of Knox Dale, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Penn Highlands Brookville Hospital in Brookville, PA. Bob was born on January 15, 1943, in Brookville, PA, to the late Hen Davis and Helen Robbins. He attended Brookville High School in Brookville, PA.

Bob truly married the love of his life, Linda L. (Wolfe) Robbins on July 10, 1965, in Knox Dale, PA; she survives. Their story began when they first met at the age of three, while playing in a childhood sandbox. This chance meeting later developed into a long-lasting union of more than fifty-nine years, strengthened by a lasting bond of love and deep devotion to each other.

Bob was employed by the Fish and Game Commission, followed by roles at BWP, White-Brook, Owen-Illinois, and the Pittsburg & Shawmut Railroad in Brookville, PA, where he worked as a conductor for over twenty years, before retiring on March 9, 2000.

Bob participated in numerous organizations which included memberships with the Pine Creek Volunteer Fire Department and the F.O.E. 983 Brookville Eagles both in Brookville, PA; in addition to holding membership with the American Legion in Reynoldsville, PA.

Bob enjoyed spending time outside, particularly when hunting, fishing and preparing meals outdoors. He also enjoyed working in his garden, tending to his yard, and planting many different flowers. Bob adored his dogs and cats, especially Kissy and Sissy who would frequently nuzzle against his face, Bubba would snuggle and flop into his arm, and Cuddles would nibble on his thumb; he so loved his fur babies.

In addition to his wife Linda, Bob is survived by his nieces; Lisa (Jason) Rittenhouse, April (David) Rizzo, Tara (Bob) Veley; nephews; Micah (Melissa) Wolfe, Jeremy (Eileen) Wolfe; eight grand-nephews and grand-nieces; Jacob Rizzo, Brady Rizzo, Olivia Rizzo, Grace Wolfe, Owen Wolfe, Madelyn Veley, Rya Veley, and Alissa Rittenhouse; and two brothers-in-law; Terry Wolfe of Knox Dale, PA, and Steve (Susan) Wolfe of Brockway, PA.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by two half-brothers; Jim Davis and John Davis.

Family and friends will be received for a visitation on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 10 am - 1 pm at the Carrier Funeral Home, 2834 Maplevale, Rd., Brookville, PA 15825. A memorial service will follow the visitation beginning at 1:00 pm, also at the Carrier Funeral Home, and officiated by Pastor Joni Williams.
