Rodney “Rod” A. Myers, age 61, of Brookville, PA, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Penn Highlands Brookville Hospital in Brookville, PA. He was born in Brookville, PA, on October 17, 1964, the son of Allan Kent and Marianne (Carberry) Myers.

Rod graduated from Brookville High School in Brookville, PA, with the class of 1982. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Over the years, Rod had been employed at Nosker’s Sawmill in Hazen, PA, then the Carbon Plant in Brookville, PA, and later worked as a security guard and driver at Abraxas in Marienville, PA, until he became disabled due to his declining health.

Rod was a member of the Brookville Eagles FOE 983 in Brookville, PA, and had been in a bowling league for several years.

Rod enjoyed all sports, with NASCAR racing being his favorite, attending some big races. He loved all Pittsburgh sports teams, especially watching the Steelers, Pirates, and the Penguins. Rod had a deep love for animals, with an undeniable affection for the gentle Golden Retriever. He will be forever in our hearts and deeply missed by family and friends.

Rodney is survived by his parents and one sister; Robin Myers of Brookville, PA.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Family and friends will be received for a visitation on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, from 10 am to 11 am at the Carrier Funeral Home, 2834 Maplevale, Rd., Brookville, PA 15825. A funeral service will follow the visitation, also at the Carrier Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 am, and officiated by Pastor Joni Williams.

Interment will take place privately at Temple Cemetery in Warsaw Twp., Jefferson Co., PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carrier Funeral Home, 2834 Maplevale, Rd., Brookville, PA 15825.
