Sara Geraldine “Gerry” (Sebring) Miller, age 91, of Brookville, PA, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2023, at the McKinley Health Center in Brookville, PA. She was born to the late Wayne and Esther (Dickey) Sebring on January 13, 1932, in Knox Dale, PA. Gerry graduated from the Brookville Area High School with the class of 1949. She went on to attend DuBois Business College studying business and accounting courses. On November 16, 1951, Gerry married the love of her life, David Richard Miller in Brookville, PA, he survives. They celebrated and spent over seventy-one loving years together.
Gerry, with her husband David, founded Miller Welding and Machine Co., where she served as the corporate secretary and treasurer for over fifty years. She was a faithful member of the Knox Dale United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the American Red Cross. Gerry enjoyed going to flea markets and collecting antiques. She loved to travel and was able to visit many places including, Hawaii, Europe, Florida, and Alaska. She enjoyed daily walks and being involved with any family activities. Gerry was always in charge of setting up a “sister reunion”, so they could still stay close throughout the years. She liked puzzle building with family, especially around the holidays. Gerry was the biggest supporter when it came to all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Above all, her husband, family, and the time they spent together meant more than anything to her.
In addition to her loving husband David, Gerry is survived by six children; David K. (Nan) Miller, Pamela G. Lindermuth, Bradley R. (Lou Ann) Miller, Terri G. Klatko, Jeffrey C. (Gaye) Miller, and Kelly A. (Steve) Austin; fourteen grandchildren; Eric (Michelle) Miller, Sara (Matt) Loving, Julie (Dave) DiMaria, Kenneth Lindermuth, Kelly (Ryan Emberg) Belfiore, Daniel (Jenna Scalise) Miller, Michael (Jessie) Miller, Anthony (Katie) Klatko, Trevor Klatko, Clayton Miller, Sydney Miller, Abigail Miller, Daniel Austin, and Joel Austin; nineteen great-grandchildren, and three sisters; Doris Pearce, Margie Flick, and Virginia Bogacki. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three siblings; Marie Bush, Junie Bush, and Albert Sebring; and one son-in-law; Paul Lindermuth.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, February 16, 2023, from 6 – 8 pm, at the Carrier Funeral Home, 2834 Maplevale Rd., Brookville, PA 15825. A second viewing will take place on Friday, February 17, 2023, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm, also at the Carrier Funeral Home. A final viewing will take place on Saturday, February 18, 2023, from 10 – 11 am, at the Knox Dale United Methodist Church, 8024 Knox Dale Rd., Brookville, PA 15825. A funeral service will take place immediately following the viewing on Saturday, February 18, 2023, beginning at 11:00 am, and officiated by Pastor Michael Coats. Interment will take place privately at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Knox Twp., Jefferson Co., PA. Memorial contributions may be made in Gerry’s name to the Knox Dale United Methodist Church, Rebecca M.
